Butterfield Clinic was established to offer a distinctive primary care service. With NHS primary care services under immense pressure, it has become increasingly challenging for NHS GP practices to provide the level of care that was originally envisioned when the NHS was founded in 1948.

By operating independently of the NHS, while still adhering to the same regulatory and clinical standards as NHS practices, we are able to offer a service free from the financial constraints of working within a public sector system.

This gives us the flexibility to offer our patients benefits such as direct access to a GP, a more personalized service, and extended consultation times.

Our Team

Our team is our highest priority. We understand that without a satisfied clinical and administrative team, we cannot deliver the high standard of care our patients deserve.

Our clinicians have been carefully selected from across the Oxfordshire health network. They are all NHS trained and many continue to work in the public sector, ensuring they maintain a broad perspective on healthcare delivery.

Our History

Dr Ahsan and Faheem founded the practice in 2020, initially operating from a small clinic in East Oxford. In 2024, the practice moved to its current location on Oxford Road, expanding to accommodate a growing patient base and a wider range of services. The business remains independently owned, with Faiza serving as director.

Our Mission

Butterfield Clinic’s mission is to provide safe, compassionate, personalized, and accessible healthcare services to enhance the wellbeing of our patients.

We achieve this by employing the finest medical personnel and delivering services in a private setting, enabling us to see patients when they need us and for as long as they need. We offer a comprehensive range of services including general practice and mental health, allowing us to provide holistic, end-to-end management of our patients’ health concerns.
