Contact NowArrange your vaccinations to protect you and your family
We are able to offer a range of private immunisations and private travel vaccines at Butterfield Clinic.
Vaccinations are the most effective way to protect you and your family from infectious diseases. Vaccinations help:
- Protect you and your family from serious and deadly diseases
- Protect people in your family and community, by stopping the spread of diseases
- Reduce or even eradicate diseases
There is substantial misinformation about vaccinations online, including ‘anti-vaccine’ stories. For the NHS’ latest position on vaccination, please see this article.
How do vaccines work?
Vaccines teach your immune system to create antibodies to protect you from diseases. This prepares your body to fight a disease in the event that you encounter it at a later date.
How can Butterfield Clinic help?
Vaccinations can be accessed one of two ways:
- In a standard GP consultation
- In an immunisation consultation
If you require any advice, including advice on what vaccine you need, please book a standard GP consultation. Within an immunisation consultation, our GPs will only have time to deliver the vaccine and update your record.
Please note that the cost of the vaccines themselves will be charged in addition to the appointment fee.
We do not stock immunisations, so please allow 48 working hours between booking your appointment and the appointment time itself. To book an immunisation, please select Book now
Available immunisations
We are able to source and deliver the vaccinations below. Vaccines are priced individually, and all vaccines are delivered in a vaccination consultation (billed separately: £125 for non-member adults, free for member adults).
Please allow 48 working hours between booking your appointment and your appointment time. This allows us to order the vaccination into stock for your appointment.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Find quick answers to common questions about our services, policies, and processes in our Frequently Asked Questions section
What vaccines do you offer?
Which vaccine do I need?
If you are unsure which vaccination(s) you require, please book a GP appointment – we are unable to advise about vaccines within a standard vaccination consultation which is just for administering the vaccine.
What about vaccinating children?
Children aged 0-11 will require a children’s vaccination consultation. It is the responsibility of the parent to restrain their child. If the healthcare professional is unable to administer the vaccination, the appointment is non-refundable and will need to be rebooked.
What appointment do I need to book to get my vaccine?
If you know what vaccine(s) you need, you can book an immunisation appointment and order and pay for the vaccines you require. During your immunisation appointment the GP will give you your vaccine. The immunisation appointment is free for members (up to 4 per year) and £125 for non-members. All the vaccines are individually priced, and you will be charged for these as you book. Please note, if you require several doses of a vaccine, you will be charged for each vaccine and each immunisation appointment you need. If you don’t know what vaccine you need, please book a standard GP appointment. Your GP will discuss your options and advise you on which vaccine you need. You can then book your immunisation appointment and order and pay for your vaccine. Please note, if you require several doses of a vaccine, you will be charged for each vaccine and each immunisation appointment you need.
Does using Butterfield Clinic affect my NHS GP?
You can use Butterfield Clinic alongside your existing NHS GP practice. We believe in joined-up care; we don’t believe that it is in your best interests to have different doctors independently trying to treat you. For this reason, once you’ve seen a Butterfield Clinic GP we aim (with your permission) to share your consultation notes back with your current NHS GP. For example, if you can’t get an appointment at your local GP practice this week, you can book in with Butterfield Clinic’s GPs. With your consent, we’ll share the Butterfield Clinic consultation notes back with you and your NHS GP, so that when you next see your NHS GP they will have a full picture of your care history.
