Safeguarding
Butterfield Clinic Safeguarding Statement 2024
At Butterfield Clinic, we are dedicated to fostering a safe and rewarding environment for all our staff to work and for patients to receive care and treatment. This commitment is reflected in our robust safeguarding policy, which ensures proper treatment for everyone, and our confidential whistle-blowing service that allows individuals to raise concerns without fear of repercussion.
Some of our staff members work with individuals who are considered to be at higher risk of harm, including children and vulnerable adults. To ensure the highest standards of safety, we conduct disclosure and barring service (DBS) checks of criminal records for all health professionals. Additionally, all staff members are required to complete comprehensive safeguarding training.
We maintain a zero-tolerance approach to breaches of our safeguarding policies and thoroughly investigate all alleged breaches. Our safeguarding policy is regularly reviewed to improve the knowledge and understanding of all team members, regardless of their position, about safeguarding at Butterfield Clinic.
To ensure we consistently maintain the highest standards of safeguarding, we closely monitor guidance from the Government, local Children and Adults Safeguarding Boards, and professional registered bodies on safeguarding procedures and protocols.
