With over three decades of expertise in paediatric surgery, I am an Associate Specialist Paediatric Trauma Surgeon at St. Mary’s Hospital, Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust in London, where I lead two outpatient clinics and two surgical lists weekly. My role spans both complex paediatric surgeries and ongoing patient care in paediatric haematology, PICU, and in-patient cases. Alongside clinical duties, I am actively involved in clinical governance and quality assurance through membership in key committees, and I am dedicated to teaching, from medical students to postgraduates at Imperial College.
My prior experience includes consultant positions across Birmingham Children’s Hospital, Chelsea & Westminster, and international posts in Saudi Arabia, which afforded me deep insights into tertiary care, paediatric trauma, and neonatal surgery. I am also committed to pioneering clinical advancements and am a regular lecturer, OSCE examiner, and trainer, notably founding quarterly chest drain and central line simulation training at St. Mary’s. My approach combines clinical precision with a passion for teaching, contributing to both patient care excellence and the growth of the next generation of healthcare professionals.
