At Butterfield Clinic, our GPs are available to provide a range of advice and testing for sexually transmitted infections.
If you are worried that you might have a sexually transmitted infection, the NHS’ advice is that you should get checked at a sexual health clinic as soon as possible. Common STI symptoms include:
- Unusual discharges
- Pain when peeing
- Rashes
- Itchy genitals
You may also want to consider getting a sexual health test if your sexual partner has symptoms or you’re worried after having sex without a condom.
How can Butterfield Clinic GPs help?’
Our GPs can provide advice, reassurance and where necessary sexual health testing. You can ask to see a male or female clinician. There are three ways to access sexual health testing at Butterfield Clinic practices:
- In a sexual health appointment
- In a standard GP consultation
- Selected tests can be completed as home test kits
In a sexual health appointment, our GPs will only have time to carry out the test. If you also wish to get advice and speak with a GP, please book a standard consultation, during which we can provide both advice and testing.
